50-year Pilot – Fountain Hills resident Henry Meyer recently received The Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award, in recognition of “50 years of exemplary aviation flight experience, distinguished professionalism and steadfast commitment to aviation safety.” Meyer was recently honored during a special ceremony hosted out of Fountain View Village, where he resides. Meyer started taking flying lessons when he was 14, got his private license on his 17th birthday and went on to join the United States Air Force. He said if someone has an airplane and they want some company on a flight, he’d jump at the opportunity in a heartbeat. “I’ve just got airplanes in my blood,” Meyer said.
Compliments of the Fountain Hills Times.
